Terms of Service
Effective Date: March 4, 2026
These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern access to and use of the StrainSignal service ("Service") operated by:

("TEGRALAB", "we", "us", "our")
By installing, accessing, or using StrainSignal, the customer entity ("Customer") agrees to these Terms.
1. Service Description
StrainSignal is a Slack-integrated software service that analyzes behavioral activity metadata to generate statistical indicators related to workload patterns and potential burnout risk.
The Service:
- Processes Slack event data
- Performs pattern matching to detect @mentions for responsiveness metrics
- Does not store Slack message content
- Generates derived behavioral metrics and risk scores
- Provides dashboards and alert functionality
StrainSignal provides probabilistic indicators based on statistical modeling and baseline analysis. It does not guarantee accuracy, completeness, or prevention of burnout.
2. B2B Use Only
The Service is intended solely for business and organizational use. Customer represents that:
- It is a legal entity
- The individual accepting these Terms has authority to bind the entity
- The Service will not be used by or for minors
3. Customer Responsibilities
Customer is solely responsible for:
- Ensuring lawful basis for employee data processing
- Providing all required employee notices
- Obtaining any necessary consents
- Complying with GDPR, labor laws, works council obligations, and monitoring regulations
- Determining how to interpret and use Service outputs
Customer shall not make adverse employment decisions solely based on StrainSignal outputs without independent human review.
TEGRALAB shall not be responsible for employment-related decisions made by Customer.
4. Slack Integration and Authority
Customer represents that it has authority to:
- Install Slack applications
- Grant necessary API permissions
- Authorize processing of Slack workspace data
TEGRALAB is not responsible for unauthorized installation or misuse of Slack credentials.
5. Data Processing
TEGRALAB processes Customer Data strictly as a data processor on Customer's instructions.
Message content received via Slack events is processed transiently for @mention pattern detection and is immediately discarded. Message content is not stored.
Stored data includes:
- Slack user identifiers
- Workspace identifiers
- Channel identifiers
- Email addresses
- Display names
- Profile pictures
- Activity timestamps
- Derived behavioral metrics
- Risk scores
- Alert history
- Administrative settings
Full data processing terms are governed by the Data Processing Addendum.
6. Subscription and Billing
The Service operates on a per-seat subscription model.
A "Seat" means a monitored user account.
6.1 Trial
Customers may receive a 14-day trial. After trial expiration, paid subscription begins automatically unless canceled.
6.2 Billing
Subscriptions are billed via Stripe. Seat counts may adjust dynamically based on active monitored users.
6.3 Cancellation
Customer may cancel at any time. Upon cancellation:
- Monitoring continues until end of billing period.
- After expiration, Service access is suspended.
6.4 Non-Payment
Failure to pay may result in suspension. TEGRALAB may suspend or terminate access for overdue accounts.
7. Data Deletion and Retention
Upon Slack uninstall or Customer request:
- All Customer Data is permanently deleted without undue delay.
TEGRALAB does not retain archived copies after deletion.
8. Security
TEGRALAB implements:
- Encryption in transit (HTTPS)
- Role-based access control
- Restricted internal access policies
TEGRALAB does not guarantee that the Service is completely secure or error-free.
9. Disclaimer of Warranties
The Service is provided "as is" and "as available." TEGRALAB disclaims all warranties, express or implied, including:
- Fitness for a particular purpose
- Non-infringement
- Accuracy of outputs
- Medical or psychological reliability
StrainSignal is not a medical device, does not diagnose conditions, and does not provide medical advice.
10. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law:
TEGRALAB's total aggregate liability arising out of or related to the Service shall not exceed the total fees paid by Customer during the twelve (12) months preceding the event giving rise to the claim.
TEGRALAB shall not be liable for:
- Indirect damages
- Consequential damages
- Lost profits
- Lost data
- Reputational harm
- Employment-related claims
- Emotional distress claims
Nothing in these Terms limits liability for fraud, intentional misconduct, or death or personal injury where legally required.
11. Indemnification
Customer agrees to indemnify and hold harmless TEGRALAB from claims arising out of:
- Employee monitoring disputes
- Employment decisions
- Violations of labor or privacy laws
- Unauthorized use of the Service
- Failure to provide employee notice
12. Termination
TEGRALAB may suspend or terminate access if:
- Customer breaches these Terms
- Payment is overdue
- Security risks are detected
- Use is unlawful
13. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of Romania. Disputes shall be resolved exclusively by the competent courts of Romania.
14. Modifications
TEGRALAB may update these Terms. Continued use constitutes acceptance of changes.
